The Pawn Shop Is Your One Stop Shop For Buying Or Selling Gold Or Silver
That’s right, if you want to buy or sell gold or silver, then forget the mail in companies or trying to painstakingly locate someone who is going to pay what you consider to be a premium price. The mail in companies will shortchange you, and you will waste time, money and resources trying to find the premium. Pawn shops have been in this business for a long time, and they are your best bet. They will pay you top dollar for your gold or silver with a respectable markup for themselves.
Most everyone has watched Pawn Stars. When you go into a pawn shop, the people are going to be straightforward with you about having to take on inventory and wait for a buyer. All you have to do is bring in the item and push the sell button. Or, would you like to buy gold and silver? Well, you’re not going to get a better price than at the pawn shop. They beat the pants off of what you can purchase gold and silver for at a jewelry store and other places.
Even if you’re looking for engagement rings or something classy, you can find these at a pawn shop for a significant markdown as well. You might even pay twice or more as much at a jewelry store as you would at a pawn shop. So why go to those other places? It beats me!
Even if you have broken gold or silver jewelry, the pawn shop is still the best place to sell this as well. If you mail it in to one of those mail order services, all you’re getting is the meltdown value of the gold and silver. Wouldn’t you like to get a little more than that? And, wouldn’t it be just a little more peace of mind, considering the gold and silver doesn’t leave your hands until you have the money? Of course it would!
So, next time you’re in the market to purchase or sell gold or silver, visit the pawn shop. My sister cleaned out her old jewelry box, and she took it to the pawn shop and received thousands of dollars. If she had mailed all of that in, she likely would’ve only gotten hundreds. You see, pawn shop dealers also realize intrinsic and collectible value of certain items. She had a couple of those as well, and they would’ve just been melted down if she would’ve mailed them in.
And, she was about to mail them in, but I convinced her not to do that. I went to the pawn shop with her. The guy there directed us to another pawn shop that had a larger inventory. You see, many of these pawn shop dealers all work together and communicate. Well, both stores made sure she got the best deal. She was very happy, and she took me out to lunch for convincing her to make that decision.
